From May 5th other 1,000 special bib-numbers will be available.
The regular 6,000 bib-numbers are already sold out.

From 11:00 GMT of Wednesday 5th May other 1,000 special bib-numbers will be available – 500 will be devoted to the project “Bimbingamba” and other 500 will be assigned to support the project “Run For Water, Run For Life”.

These 1,000 bib numbers to support social purposes will be split up in equal parts, 500 will be reserved for runners with residence in Italy and 500 will be reserved for runners with residence outside Italy.

These special bib-numbers will be on sale only online, due to the necessity of checking in real time the number of the registrations and to close them as soon as the cap of 1,000 is reached.

Please visit the official website www.venicemarathon.it to buy one of these bibs. A count-down meter will show the number of entries remaining.

These special entries will cost 20 Euros more than the basic fee, as this difference will be given to the social aims of the projects mentioned above, “Bimbingamba” and “Run For Water, Run For Life”.

At the moment of the registration, in addition to the 20 Euros devoted with each bib-number, runners will have the possibility of offering another donations.

"Bimbingamba project"

As it happened last year 500 bib numbers will be assigned to help the creation of prosthesis for children, thanks to the project “Bimbingamba” supported by Alex Zanardi.

“I am very happy that Venicemarathon is having such success" – reported the former Formula 1 driver – "and I am even happier to know that the Organizers have decided to repeat the beautiful effort of last year which allowed the creation of prosthesis and the complete assistance to 7 children coming from different parts of the world. I will be there to run, but especially to thank all athletes who will decide to run for this special purpose.”

"Run for water, run for life" project

The other 500 numbers will be devoted to ‘Run For Water, Run For Life’ to the digging of other drinking water wells in Uganda. Since 2006 the NGO Africa Mission – Cooperazione e Sviluppo, promoter of the project, has dug 7 water wells and has renewed 3 water wellsprings supplying drinking water to over 9,000 people. This was possible thanks to the fund raising supported by Venicemarathon.
