Schools, young people and families will be the protagonists of the four events that precede the 35th Venicemarathon and which will take place in San Donà di Piave, Chioggia, Dolo-Riviera del Brenta and Mestre. A celebration of sport, well-being and charity that involves over 15,000 people every year

Venice, September 15, 2021 - With the return to school desks of students from all over Italy and with the approach of the 35th Venicemarathon, the time has also come to talk about Alì Family Run, the four non-competitive races of about 4 km reserved for students and families who, like every year, mark the approach to the great marathon party on October 24.

After last year's stop due to the health emergency from Covid-19, Venicemarathon returns to promote sport in the entire Venetian territory with the Ali Family Runs that will take place one week after the other and will affect the municipalities of San Donà di Piave, Chioggia, Dolo and Mestre, involving over 15,000 people. The great protagonist will be, as always, the enthusiasm of young people and families who will be able to give life to a great party and eagerly awaiting the 35th Venicemarahon.

The calendar of events begins on Saturday 2 October with the appointment in San Donà di Piave, continues on Saturday 9 October with Chioggia, Saturday 16 October in Dolo-Riviera del Brenta and ends on Saturday 23 October in Mestre-Parco San Giuliano, where it will also rise the Expo-Venicemarathon Village.

As always, the events will also have a solidarity aspect, in fact most of the proceeds from the memberships will be allocated to participating schools and in favor of Alex Zanardi's "Obiettivo3" project, created to encourage and support the introduction of disabled athletes to sport. In addition, the Rotary District 2060 also this year reconfirms its participation and support, to raise awareness among young people on the importance of the fight against polio globally. The logo of the “End Polio Now” project will be present on all the white t-shirts that the participants will wear during the races, and information gazebos will be present in each competition field.

Thanks to TDS Sport it is already possible to register online on the Enternow platform made available free of charge by the organization and without commission costs for users.

"We are happy to be able to return to promoting the healthy values of sport also through the four Alì Family Run races, events that are now an integral part of the Venicemarathon - declares the president of Venicemarathon Piero Rosa Salva - The positive response received from the world of schools, institutions and sponsors is a signal that confirms the validity of our project."

"We all feel the need to start again and this event will make us go back to racing all together, beginners and amateurs, all united by the desire to be together in the open air, while respecting the safety distances. We are happy to be able to confirm ourselves as supporters of the Alì Family. Run, after the successful edition of Jesolo, because it is an event that embodies our values - says Matteo Canella, Head of General Affairs of Alì SpA - - We are born as a local reality that lives and grows in and for the territory. We believe it is essential to give value to the time you spend with your family, if you can do it in the open air and by practicing sports, during recreational events designed especially for families you contribute to improving life in the area. And this is precisely our goal, our mission, so we warmly await the start of the amateur racing event attended by the most heterogeneous public, more or less athletically prepared, but united by the desire to spend quality time together"

The Alì Family Runs are events organized by Venicemararhon with the support of the municipal administrations of San Donà di Piave, Chioggia, Dolo and Venice and of important realities such as: Alì Supermarkets; M9, Corepla, HOKA, AquaVitamin, Dolci Palmisano, BMW, Banca Ifis, RDS 100% Grandi Successi, Il Gazzettino, Port of Venice, Venezia Unica, Coldiretti Venezia, Actv, TDS.
Venicemarathon Charity Program: when running becomes a gesture of heart and charity!
Image
The 35th Venicemarathon & 10K also this year launches an important fundraising initiative which, in a few hours after opening, has already raised 4,500 euros.
In the meantime, registrations for the marathon and 10K on 24 October continue, an event included in the calendar of celebrations for the 1600th anniversary of the Venice Foundation.

Venice, 8 September 2021 - For years now, the Venice Marathon has become an important event for solidarity too! Dozens of non-profit associations and non-profit organizations take the opportunity of this prestigious international stage to raise awareness of athletes and the public and raise useful funds for important causes and projects. This is the essence of the Venicemarathon Charity Program, a fundraising initiative promoted, for the seventh year, together with the crowdfunding platform Rete del Dono and thanks to which a total of over € 1,000,000 was raised.

So the Charity Program linked to the 35th edition of the Venice marathon is underway, which in a few hours from the opening has already raised 4,500 euros. The collection mechanism is very simple and is based on the principle of personal foundraising, where runners become ambassadors of a solidarity project and take action to raise funds among friends and relatives. Donations are free and anyone can choose to support the project they prefer.

Also this year the projects presented are very interesting and of a different nature. There are some of international scope, such as the construction of water wells in Uganda promoted by Africa Mission - Cooperation and Development and the global fight against polio in Rotary 2060.

Others of a national nature linked to the prevention and research of breast cancer such as the AIRC Foundation, the inclusion in the educational-sports path of over 400 young athletes most in need in the cities of Rome, Milan, Naples, Turin, Bergamo and Trento promoted by Sport Senza Frontiere onlus, in research in the field of biology, regenerative medicine and stem cells with the TES Foundation, for the support of carriers of BRCA genetic mutations with aBRCAdaBRA Onlus or to promote Narrative Medicine courses for staff working within Rsa with RacconTiamo con Francesca.

And, finally, the even more territorial projects, connected to local realities such as: the purchase of instruments and equipment for pediatric nephrology in Padua (Salus Pueri Foundation), economic support for Venetian women victims of violence (Iside Cooperativa Sociale), support research into eye diseases (Fondazione Banca degli Occhi del Veneto onlus), equip the library of the Male Prison of Venice with new books (Il Granello di Senape), help research on pediatric diseases (Città della Speranza) , support the school (AIDO) and support young bone marrow donors (Admo Venezia).

Helping others through a gesture of solidarity is, therefore, one more reason to run the 35th Venicemarathon & 10K, which this year will be an even more special event because it is included in the program of events for the celebrations of the 1600 years since the foundation of Venice.
