Useful Info

The useful info will give you the answers to all your doubts! Click on the right distance and read the information carefully!

Cheer on runners

Your relatives and friends will have an infinite number of locations where they can wait for your ride and cheer you on. The most evocative place is certainly Piazza San Marco where you can see the passage of the first athletes of the VM10K from 9.00 and of the Venice Half Marathon from 10.15. The arrival in Riva Sette Martiri is another characteristic place where you will be welcomed to the rhythm of music; the arrivals show will continue until 3.30pm.

The Brenta Riviera offers countless historical and landscape views; for those who want to spend a Sunday immersed in nature with Venice in the background, San Giuliano Park in Mestre is the perfect place! The VM10K will start from here at 08:30, while the first marathon athletes will pass around 11:15.

For a more urban setting, however, there is Mestre, where you will be able to see the start of the Venice Half Marathon at 9.15 am and where the athletes of the Wizz Air Venicemarathon will pass through the M9 museum and exit from the renovated via Poerio: here the first ones will pass around at 10.55am.

Those who stayed at home will be able to follow the race thanks to the live broadcast on Rai Sport from 09.40.

Remember, however, no one will be able to follow you on your bicycle or on foot during the race.

Venicemarathon and culture

Villa Pisani

The Villa Pisani National Museum is the gateway to the runners of the Huawei Venicemarathon. The dwelling, built by Francesco Maria Preti for the Venetian patrician family, has pictorial decorations by Tiepolo.

In 1807 Napoleon Bonaparte bought Villa Pisani. During the Austrian rule the viceroy Ranieri of Habsburg began to collect citrus in the Orangerie and exotic plants that still today in the hundreds make up the rich botanical collection of the Museum.

With the Kingdom of Italy, the Italian royal family ceded the Villa to the Italian State in 1868: the "National Museum" Villa Pisani thus abandoned its role as summer residence and representation for today's public good managed by the Ministry of Heritage and of Cultural Activities and Tourism.

From Thursday 19th to Tuesday 24th October, free access to Villa Pisani for all those registered for the Venicemarathon, upon certification of registration. For companions, reduced ticket.

Musei Civici Veneziani

Musei Civici Veneziani, the largest museum center in the city of Venice opens its doors to Wizz Air Venicemarathon runners: from Friday 20th to Monday 23rd October runners will be able to visit the museums at a reduced rate upon confirmation of registration, the offer is valid also for a companion.
