ORDINANCE AND ROADS - All information regarding traffic is present on the website www.venicemarathon.it

SAFETY ON THE ROUTE - The route will be entirely closed to traffic, thanks to the precious collaboration of

Traffic Police, Municipal Police, Fire Brigade, Anas, Carabinieri and the support of over 500 Civil Protection volunteers, coordinated by the Office of the Metropolitan City of Venice. At the end of the race, the streets affected by the race will be promptly cleaned by Veritas, the public multi-utility that manages urban hygiene in Venice and in a large part of the province.

MARATHON FOR THE ENVIRONMENT - Vencemarathon's commitment to the environment is increasingly strengthened, through a series of very specific actions and projects aimed at eliminating the use of paper through the complete digitalisation of processes and enhancing recycling and the incentive to use public transport, also thanks to the collaboration with the Veneto Regional Directorate of Trenitalia.

From this perspective, two very interesting projects will be carried out by the Airone Gifts company. On the one hand, the company will produce all the garment bags that will be delivered to the athletes in post-consumer recycled plastic. On the other hand, it will transform the PVC banners/banners used during the event, and which would otherwise be disposed of, into commonly used objects, such as bags and cosmetic bags, making use of the help and work of people in detention, in particular women who through work in prison build awareness and dignity for their children too. The project is called SIGNAGE and intends to respect the environment and bring people closer to a new ethical, social and environmental awareness.

MUSIC ALONG THE ROUTE - Various musical bands will perform, coordinated by maestro Mauro Stella, who will cheer the athletes and the public with their music. Here are the bands: Deep Contact, Glass on House, Fidback, Solitignoti, Lazy Dayz, The Venexian Rock Experience, Everlift, Still Stones, Sliding Doors, MDG Story, Titioandmaxer DJ, Hardware. The best band will win an evening performance at the "Al Vapore" club in Mestre!

PACER - There are over 200 athletes from the 'San Benedetto Pacing Team' who will dictate the pace of the three races: marathon, half marathon and ten kilometres.
In the marathon alone, there will be 151 'angels of the time trial', of which 42 are foreigners: athletes who have enthusiastically welcomed the invitation to become Venicemarathon Ambassadors in the world and to put themselves at the service of one of the most fascinating international marathons. Some of them are well known in the environment as authors of great feats such as Sara Pastore, the winner of the Ultra Milan-Sanremo (285 km) who will be the 4 hour pacer and, once her task is finished, will return along the route to accompany the last competitors. There will also be the second place in the Ultra Milano-Sanremo, Veronica Malagni from Brescia, pacer in the 4h25 bracket and the Tuscan Marco Mannucci (4h) who will also be a pacer at the New York Marathon this year.
On an international level, noteworthy is the Hungarian Szofia Malatinsky, included in the 3h10' group and the only female name that stands out in the groups of fastest pacers.
